The movie is set to hit theaters on November 20, 2026, and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he competes as a District 12 tribute 24 years before the events of the original trilogy. The trailer shows Haymitch facing off against President Snow. The film was first announced in 2024, before the novel was published.
