The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated a major review of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to incorporate life skills and critical thinking. The reform aims to shift the assessment focus towards candidates' ability to think, reason, and apply knowledge to real-life situations. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, announced the move in Abuja while inaugurating a committee of education stakeholders and experts to develop an integration framework. The review is intended to avoid duplicating subject-based assessments already conducted at the O-Level.
