Judges of the High Court of Rivers State will resume normal court sittings on Thursday, September 17, 2026, following the expiration of their annual vacation. The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi, had earlier directed the state High Court judges to proceed on their annual recess from Monday, July 20 to Wednesday, September. The new legal year begins on September 24.
