The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Ado-Ekiti has adjourned further hearing of the petition challenging the outcome of the 2026 governorship election. The adjournment followed an application by the petitioners seeking the relocation of the proceedings from the state over an alleged assault on the counsel of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Justice Idris Kutigi is presiding over the tribunal, which is now considering the request to move the proceedings.
