2027: Obidient Movement demands INEC Chairman Amupitan’s whereabouts

The Obidient Movement has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to clarify the whereabouts of its Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, after he was absent from a meeting with an African Union electoral delegation in Abuja. INEC had said National Commissioner Prof. Rhoda Gumus acted as Chairman during the visit. The movement raised concerns over the lack of public information on Amupitan's engagements. The AU mission is assessing Nigeria's preparedness for the 2027 general elections.
