The Enugu State Government has denied reports that commercial bus drivers and tricycle operators protested over alleged excessive taxes and levies. In a statement, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Hon. Onyekwere Nwobodo, said the incident involved transport operators seeking designated parking spaces at the new terminal. He described reports linking the incident to taxes or fuel price increases as false and malicious. The operators had approached terminal management over parking concerns following a no-parking order around Ogbete Main Market.
