Ghana's Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, met with the Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation, Makhtar Diop, to discuss Ghana's economic progress and plans for private-sector-led growth. The meeting focused on commercial agriculture, value addition, and job creation, with priority areas including sugar, cocoa processing, palm oil, and poultry. Dr Forson also highlighted Ghana's ambition to become the pharmaceutical hub of West Africa. Mr Diop commended Ghana's economic progress, particularly the reduction in inflation, and assured continued IFC support.
