Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism and Culture, has paid tribute to veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs, describing him as a towering figure who helped shape Nigeria's film and theatre industry. In a statement on Wednesday, Aregbe said Jacobs was more than an actor, noting that he defined roles, set standards, built institutions and inspired generations of young performers. He recalled Jacobs' commanding voice, presence and grace that distinguished his career across stage and screen. Aregbe made the tribute shortly after the late actor's family announced his passing.
