The Director-General of the Nigerian Ports Economic Regulatory Agency (NPERA), Dr Pius Akutah, stated that efficient and competitive seaports are critical to Nigeria's goal of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2030. He said NPERA is committed to transforming the port regulatory environment through stronger enforcement, standard-setting, automation, and digitisation. Akutah spoke in Lagos during a courtesy visit by the Shipping Correspondents Association of Nigeria (SCAN), led by its President, Mr Moses Ebosele.
