Nasarawa Police Pay N30.8m Insurance Benefits To Families Of Deceased Officers

The Nasarawa State Police Command has distributed Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident benefits totalling N30,845,424.03 to families of police officers who died while serving under the command. The cheques were presented by the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, at the state police command on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nanselon. The financial assistance is aimed at cushioning the impact of the loss on the families of the deceased officers and providing support for their welfare. While presenting the cheques, Mohammed commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for his continued commitment to the welfare and well-being of police officers and their families. The commissioner said the payment underscored the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to supporting families of officers who paid the ultimate price.
