Nigeria records 59.9 percent domestic flight delays in August

Nigeria’s domestic air transport network recorded a significant deterioration in flight punctuality in August 2026. According to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), 4,765 of the 7,961 flights operated during the month were delayed, representing 59.9 percent of total domestic operations. The latest NCAA flight disruption data highlights a widening On-Time Performance (OTP) challenge.
