Gastech 2026: Nigeria’s gas future in the new equation of energy security, capital and prosperity

Gastech 2026, held in Bangkok, brought together over 50,000 attendees and more than 800 exhibiting companies from the global energy value chain. For Nigeria, the conference highlighted the question of how the country can translate its gas endowment into industrial growth, competitive energy and investable opportunities. Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ekperikpe Ekpo, captured the country's proposition that its gas resources can support global LNG markets while also enabling domestic benefits such as reliable electricity, fertiliser, petrochemicals and manufacturing.
