Many Nigerian barge operators are now surviving on packing sand for sand dredgers due to their inability to secure jobs at Apapa port, Nigeria's busiest port, according to the Nigerian Tribune. This development comes as APM Terminals plans to expand barge operations at the Finger Jetty of the Apapa Port by the fourth quarter of 2026.
