Some residents of Kano State have reacted to the reported resignation of the chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Saidu Yahaya. They called for renewed commitment to transparency, accountability and the fight against corruption. Yahaya reportedly submitted his resignation following criticism of the commission's performance, which came after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf publicly challenged the anti-corruption agency to intensify its activities. A public relations activist, Mahmud Kaura Hassan, said the development should provide an opportunity to strengthen the state's anti-corruption institutions.
