The legislation aims to provide a regulatory framework for registration, certification and economic inclusion of artisans and craftsmen in the state. Stakeholders expressed mixed feelings about the proposed regulation. The chairman of the House Committee on Industry, Commerce and Cooperatives/Wealth Creation and Employment, Tobin Abiodun, said artisans and craftsmen remain part of the Lagos State economic landscape but face challenges.
