The Centre for Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA) has called on the University of Ibadan to end the persecution of students involved in protests against fee hikes. CAPPA also urged Nigerian universities to review their disciplinary procedures to protect students' constitutional rights. The organisation emphasised that peaceful protest or criticism of institutional policies should not be treated as an offence.
