Members of Eritrea's Prison and Rehabilitation Service donated 45 units of blood to the National Blood Transfusion Service. The donation was conducted under the theme 'Let's Save Lives with Our Renewable Blood,' according to Ms. Gimja Gebrezgiabhier, coordinator of the program. She noted that the members have donated collectively for many years and established a voluntary blood donors' association in 2017. Participants said voluntary blood donation saves lives, provides spiritual satisfaction, and helps donors become more health-conscious. Nurse Mehari Abraham of the National Blood Transfusion Service commended the initiative and called on the public to follow suit.
