Health insurance can curb sudden deaths, says Expert

Otunba Lekan Ewenla, Managing Director of Ultimate Health Management Services, has stated that health insurance is a potent way to prevent sudden deaths in society. He emphasized that preventive healthcare is a major component of health insurance in Nigeria and that enrolment would help curb sudden deaths. Ewenla advised Nigerians not to wait until they are ill to access healthcare or know their health status. He called on the National Health Insurance Authority to embark on a strategic media campaign to create awareness of the benefits of health insurance.
