Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu has visited Plateau State over the recent killings in parts of the state and assured residents that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) would strengthen security operations and bring perpetrators to justice. Disu, who paid a condolence visit to the state government, said the police remained committed to creating a secure environment, stressing that sustainable peace and development require continuous synergy among security agencies, the government, and communities. During the visit, Disu said he was on the Plateau to discuss issues concerning the killings in Mangu and other parts of the state, adding that the police were not happy with the situation and that some arrests had been made. He urged residents to have hope and confidence in the police and to continue working together in synergy and collaboration for a secure environment.
