South Africa's energy conversation is shifting as Eskom records more than 400 consecutive days without load shedding. For energy-intensive businesses, the focus is moving from securing electricity to ensuring energy supports industrial competitiveness, investment, and growth. Challenges remain, including grid capacity, rising operating costs, renewable energy integration, power quality, and financing of alternative energy solutions. These issues will be discussed at the EIUG Conference on 28-29 October 2026 in Sandton, Johannesburg.
