The Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State has confirmed Muhammad Sani Abacha, son of the late head of state General Sani Abacha, as its candidate for the 2027 governorship election. The decision followed the withdrawal of the party's previous candidate, Muhammad Bello Dalha. The announcement was made on Wednesday at a party meeting. The PDP also named Kibiya as the running mate.
