A survey by consultancy Neudata found that a third of investors who buy data say its quality has deteriorated over the past couple of years. Some hedge funds attribute the decline to the use of artificial intelligence, which has led to a surge in new data vendors. The ease of accumulating and sorting data with AI has changed how longtime sellers operate. One investor noted that while the data might be present, the language model processing it could be poor.
