The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has directed electricity distribution companies (DisCos) to redirect surplus revenue to the national grid. This directive comes amid chronic blackouts experienced by Nigerians. For years, DisCos have attributed poor electricity supply to insufficient revenue collection.
