Jelly Roll Says He Could Walk Away From Music If God Calls Him Elsewhere

American rapper and singer Jelly Roll has revealed that he could eventually leave the music industry altogether if he believes God is calling him to a different purpose. The Grammy-winning country star, whose real name is Jason DeFord, made the revelation during an interview with Y'all Access Radio's Kelly Sutton backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. The interview was shared on social media on September 13. Jelly Roll said he feels he has already achieved many of the goals he once set for himself in music, including winning major awards and becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He explained that his next step would depend on what he believes God wants for his life, giving a striking example that if he were directed to work at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Kentucky, he would leave the entertainment industry behind.
