Former military administrator of Oyo and Taraba states, Prince Edore Oyakhire, has criticized the poor funding and training of the Nigeria Police Force. He stated that inadequate funding, poor training, insufficient equipment, and low remuneration undermine the effectiveness of the police. Oyakhire, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, made these remarks in a letter to the Edo State Commissioner of Police.
