Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has stated that Nigerians are now prepared to fact-check claims made by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the 2027 election. Keyamo made the comment on X on Thursday amid an ongoing controversy between Obi and the Anambra State Government over the financial records of Obi's administration as governor. He dismissed suggestions that the repeated attention on Obi amounted to an obsession, saying the scrutiny is necessary to test the accuracy of his claims. Keyamo added that Obi got away with lies in 2023, but Nigerians will now hold him accountable.
