Okumagba commends kings, urges support for peace in Warri

Former Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, has called on all indigenous ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency—Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo—to promote peace and live in mutual respect. In a statement issued on Thursday, September 17, 2026, Okumagba, who holds traditional chieftaincy titles in Okere-Urhobo and Agbarha Warri Kingdoms, emphasized that peace and brotherliness would allow all energies to be devoted to development and improved livelihoods in Warri. He also acknowledged the Olu of Warri as the paramount ruler of the Itsekiri people and noted the existence of other independent kingdoms.
