The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in the South-East has endorsed the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF) position that all APC candidates should receive the party's support in the 2027 general elections. In a joint statement signed by APC National Vice Chairman (South-East) Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu and party chairmen from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, the leaders said the PGF's call for support for candidates from the Presidency down to state Houses of Assembly was necessary to secure a comprehensive victory for the party in 2027. They also condemned recent attacks by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike on members of the PGF, describing the remarks as most unfortunate, reprehensible and completely unacceptable. According to the leaders, Wike's criticisms were directed at governors who had delivered significant development in their respective states.
