The Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed an application by Afolabi Michael Kazeem, known as KC Luxury, seeking to set aside an order extending his detention for 30 days. The detention is related to alleged involvement in trafficking 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine. Justice Akintayo Aluko ruled that the extension order granted on August 20, 2026, was valid under the Constitution and drug-control laws. Kazeem's counsel had argued that only a Magistrates' Court could issue a remand order, citing the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
