A South African woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by a court in Abuja for importing heroin into Nigeria. She was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on 6 July at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Upon arrest, 14 large blocks of heroin were found in her luggage.
