Spencer claims that King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, told him days after Princess Diana's death that they would 'forget her soon enough'. The book is set for global publication on September 22, ahead of the 30th anniversary of Diana's death. The controversy centres on a private telephone conversation between the two men.
