The South-east All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF) position calling for all APC candidates to receive the party's support in the 2027 general election. The PGF had declared it would not support any alliance capable of undermining President Bola Tinubu's re-election or weakening the ruling party. The forum made the declaration against the Rainbow Coalition led by Minister of Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, who is supporting a PDP governorship candidate in Imo State and Senator Saliu Mustapha in Kwara Central.
