FG, States, LGCs Share N2.338trn August Revenue

The Federal Government, states, and Local Government Councils shared N2.338 trillion as Federation Account revenue for August 2026. The revenue was distributed at the September 2026 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja, according to a statement by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations. The total distributable revenue comprised N1.565 trillion in statutory revenue and N773.233 billion in Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue. A communiqué from FAAC indicated that gross revenue of N3.685 trillion was available in August 2026, with deductions of N125.142 billion for collection costs and N1.221 trillion for transfers, refunds, and savings.
