Two automobile manufacturers in Anambra State, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) and Jojo Motors Auto Assembly, have welcomed the Federal Government's new policy mandating Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to patronize locally manufactured vehicles. Officials of the companies spoke during a visit by the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) board to their facilities. They said the policy would provide greater opportunities for local manufacturers and increase patronage of their products. Innoson's Managing Director, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, expressed encouragement at the government's emphasis on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), describing it as an important opportunity for the Nigerian automobile industry.
