Oladipupo Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2027 election, has challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi), to take legal action over claims regarding Adeola's indigene status. Adebutu stated he is ready to present documents in court to prove that Adeola is not an indigene of Ogun State. He also accused the APC of being in a state of panic due to the PDP's growing strength ahead of the 2027 election. Adebutu made these remarks at a PDP campaign rally in Odogbolu Local Government Area, where he alleged that PDP campaign billboards were being prevented from being erected.
