A witness for the Department of State Services (DSS) testified at the Federal High Court in Abuja about the ordeal of 49 students and teachers abducted from schools in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State. The witness, identified as AAA, described the victims' 56 days in captivity as dehumanising. They were moved through six different locations, barefooted, and forced to sleep on grass under heavy rain and intense sunshine before being rescued by security forces. The witness noted that children as young as one and a half years old, including pre-nursery pupils, were among those held captive.
