Shettima clarifies comment on 6 Northern governors supporting Tinubu

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has issued a clarification regarding his earlier comment about six northern governors supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima explained that his reference was specifically about political consultations and alignments before the APC presidential primary in June 2022. The clarification came after Shettima spoke at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin during the turbaning of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate. The Vice President stated that his comment was not about the position of northern APC governors following the primary.
