In an opinion piece, Paul Ibe criticises the gap between the Nigeria described by officials of the Bola Tinubu administration and the reality experienced by ordinary citizens. He cites recent comments by the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, who said some Nigerians have asked him to slow down improvements in electricity supply because their freezers are now freezing. Ibe questions who these Nigerians are and whether they are representative of the country. He argues that the administration appears to hear voices that millions of struggling Nigerians cannot hear.
