Former caretaker chairman of Irewole Local Government Area in Osun State, Babajide Jooda, has filed a N500 million lawsuit against Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu and former Force Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin. The suit, filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, challenges his declaration as wanted based on what he describes as a forged and fake court order. Jooda alleges that the police unlawfully declared him wanted in February 2026 for terrorism, illegal possession of firearms, and culpable homicide after relying on a purported arrest warrant that he claims was forged. He also challenges newspaper advertorials signed by Hundeyin that declared him wanted, insisting the court order authorising the publications was not genuine.
