Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita co-chaired the Global Conference on Promoting Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue and Tolerance in Countering Hate Speech at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The conference was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly and was co-chaired with the UN Secretary-General and the President of the UN General Assembly. It was co-organized by Morocco, the United Nations Office on the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect, and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. The conference aims to strengthen the role of dialogue and tolerance in preventing hate speech and promoting social cohesion, reflecting a commitment to international efforts involving governments, religious institutions, civil society, and digital sector stakeholders.
