The International Chamber of Commerce tribunal in Paris ruled in favor of Nigeria in a $2.35 billion claim brought by Sunrise Power over the Mambilla hydropower project. The tribunal dismissed Sunrise Power's claims against Nigeria and ordered the company and its promoter, Leno Adesanya, to reimburse the Nigerian government for 75 percent of its legal fees and expenses. The award was issued on Thursday, according to TheCable. The panel rejected Sunrise's request for a declaration that Nigeria breached contractual obligations and dismissed its claim for $400 million.
