Two former aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Lagos State House of Assembly have defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). The politicians, Kola Egunjobi and Azeez Yusuf, popularly known as Ninolowo, made the move after changes were made to the APC's candidate list for Agege constituencies I and II. Both had reportedly won the APC primaries in May, but the party later replaced their names. They have now obtained APM tickets to continue their bids for the 2027 election.
