Manchester City defeated Norwich 5-0 in the EFL Cup, with 17-year-old Floyd Samba scoring twice on his debut. Samba, son of former defender Chris Samba, was one of 10 changes made by manager Enzo Maresca. Brazilian Allan also scored on his first appearance since a £34 million move from Palmeiras, while Rayan Cherki added another goal. The win sets up a League Cup last-16 meeting with Brighton. Norwich, who made nine changes, were outclassed.
