Former Anambra State governor and presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 general election, Mr. Peter Obi, has said he will personally address issues regarding debts and liabilities that incumbent governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo claims were left behind by his administration. Obi's media aide, Dr. Valentine Obienyem, told LEADERSHIP on Thursday that his boss decided to respond personally to the claims. Obienyem described the alleged debts and liabilities as deliberately fabricated to undermine Obi's presidential ambition in 2027 in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, President Bola Tinubu. The Commissioner for Information in Anambra was also contacted.
