Police have launched an investigation after 33 illegal miners died in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. The Niger Police Commissioner called on family members, relatives of the deceased, and members of the public with credible information to come forward to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Minna. The investigation is ongoing.
