Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has welcomed 112 Enugu indigenes from 77 families who returned from South Africa due to xenophobic attacks. The governor doled out N1 million to each of the 77 families, totaling N77 million, and assured them of the state's solidarity. He urged them not to be afraid to start again. The administration is still profiling about 42 additional returnee families in conjunction with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
