The Governing Board of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has advocated for increased local content and a shift from Semi-Knocked Down (SKD) to Complete Knocked Down (CKD) assembly in Nigeria's automotive industry. The board made this call during a tour of Lanre Shittu Motors, CIG Motors, and Mikano Motors in Lagos. The board also emphasized the need for stronger government patronage of Nigerian-made vehicles to support indigenous assemblers.
