A review of candidates' data shared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows that no fewer than 1,200 aspirants vying for Senatorial and House of Representatives seats in the forthcoming general elections listed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) as their highest educational qualification. Additionally, the qualifications of 433 other candidates were not clearly classified. Out of 4,408 candidates, 443 are women. The data highlights the educational backgrounds of those seeking legislative office.
