The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested six suspected armed robbers allegedly terrorising three local government areas in the state. The suspects were arrested in Ikono, Ini, and Obot Akara local government areas and were responsible for a series of criminal activities, particularly the theft and disposal of motorcycles and other items. Among those arrested were a native doctor alleged to be making charms for the gang and another suspect who specialised in producing fake receipts used to dispose of stolen items. Items were recovered during the operation.
