The Kaduna State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities has suspended its ongoing strike after the Kaduna State Government approved the implementation and domestication of the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement for the institution's academic staff. The union announced the suspension in a statement issued after its congress at the KASU 1,000-Seater Auditorium. The statement, signed by chairman Abubakar Abdullahi and secretary Silas Amos Bakut, said implementation would commence in October 2026. The university's Governing Council and Management also approved payment of accrued nine-month arrears covering January to September 2026.
